听说不少无法忍受 Windows Live Messenger 随 Windows Live 在线服务启动（如：Windows Live Spaces、Windows Live SkyDrive）的同学们，采用了相当极端的方式解决了此问题 – 卸载 Windows Live Messenger。现在，多亏任平生的方法（Marwan 曾在 08 年 6 月发布过该方法），使得该问题能够相对完美的解决，也就是说，通过该方法 Windows Live Messenger 不再随这些 Windows Live 在线服务启动了。

具体步骤如下:

• 运行 IE（Internet Explorer）-> 工具 -> 管理加载项；
• 管理加载项界面左侧 -> 显示 -> 选择 所有加载项 或者 不请求即可运行的加载项；
• 找到 Windows Live 及/或 Windows Live Messenger -> 点击全部禁用。

值得注意的是：

• 使用 IE8 的用户可以直接禁用 Class ID（类 ID）为 {E1771B7F-98BE-407F-BA67-AA16ADA5D0C5} 的 Windows Live 加载项；
• 禁用这些加载项的直接后遗症就是，无法显示 Windows Live 在线服务中联系人的状态图片，并无 WL Messenger 相关功能；
• 禁用IE 状态栏会提示已经禁用加载项，勿再次启用。

How to prevent Windows Live Messenger automatically running with Windows Live web services

• Run Internet Explorer -> Tools -> Manage add-ons;
• Choose All add-ons or Add-ons that run without requiring permission in the Show filter;
• Disable all “Windows Live” and “Windows Live Messenger” add-ons.

Note: It will also disable all your Windows Live Messenger related features in the Windows Live web services.
